    Description

    very nice unrestored 100% original Montana license plate pair. 1940 issue; number 40-862.  14 x 6 inches; white legend on blue background. the plates lie almost completely straight and flat, with excellent original paint as seen in the photos.  plates are stamped PRISON MADE, as that is indeed their origin of manufacture.  each has a couple of extra holes in the margins, and someone long ago painted the part outside of the state outline silver.  fresh out of the barn!
    plates are DMV clear as of 7/23/2021.  may be placed on your 1940 vehicle for road use.  perfect for your Ford, Chevy, Plymouth or DeLorean.
