[ MY STORY ]
I started my small company in 1991 refurbished and sell Wyse terminal and
later on got into Barcode printers.  We tear down some of the printers for spare
parts and inventory them on boltless racks in bin boxes.
When repairing a printer my techs would run from there work bench to the racks
to get the parts need to fix the printers several times per day.
When the company had to move we tried all types of short cuts to move the racks
without removing the spare parts.  We tried sliding, did not work.  We tried pushing
the racks and ended up breaking the racks and spare parts all over the floor.  We
even tried picking the top shelf up with a forklift, but ended up bending it also.
So I sat down and started designing a bracket that would take the weight of the rack
and a way to bolt it in place for stability and added
strength
.

With my system installed you can move the racks right next to each other and when you
need to access them.  Just pull out the rack you want like a drawer to get the parts, then
push it back into place.  (See PIC #2).  How is that for saving money...
